Young Bucks Early Learning Centre protects the privacy, dignity and confidentiality of individuals by ensuring that all records ad information about individual children, families, staff and any person uploading to our website is kept private and confidential.

Our company does not believe social media platforms are good for mental health, so we do not have social media pages. Photos of any child or adult will not be uploaded to our website, public newspaper, or any social media page via Young Bucks Early Learning Centres Pty Ltd without your written consent which will clearly advise where the photo will be displayed and for what purpose.  

Personal information will generally be collected from you directly using our standard forms, over the internet, via our website, via email, or written communication with you, or through telephone conversation or Business WhatsApp messages with you. Photos and videos of children and children’s work samples are collected at the centre. Name, address, and phone numbers of children’s additional emergency contact people are collected from children’s parents and guardians.

Young Bucks Early Learning Centres Pty Ltd collects and holds personal information that may include your; name, date of birth, bank account details, credit card number, tax file number, Medicare number, Centrelink customer reference numbers, custody arrangements, phone numbers, immunisation and health records, address and/or other relevant information to provide you with services.

Upon enrolment additional specific information we collect and hold about children may include the child’s, name, former name, gender, address, customer reference number, immunisation status, birth certificate, Medicare number, custody arrangements or parenting orders, dietary requirements, languages spoken, doctor and dentist details, medical conditions, additional needs, photographs and videos of children, samples of children’s work and general information about your child and your child and family that assists us in providing quality individualised early learning and childcare to children.

There may be on occasion be instances where personal information about you will be collected indirectly because it is unreasonable or impractical to collect the personal information from you directly. We will usually notify you about the instances in advance, or where that is not possible, as soon as reasonably practicable after the information has been collected.

If you do not wish for your personal information to be collected, you should discuss this with the business owner of Young Bucks Early Learning Centre Pty Ltd, Jodie Buck or the Nominated Support Director of the service. All employees will act strictly in accordance with this policy and will be happy to discuss the reasons for seeking to collect your personal information. They will also discuss with you any consequences of not providing your personal information or providing inaccurate or incomplete personal information, which may include and effect on what services our centre can provide to you, including eligible childcare subsidies or claims you may be entitled to.  

We take seriously our obligations when dealing with your personal information. Young Bucks Early Learning Centres Pty Ltd  will collect, hold, and use that personal information for purposes associated with; providing early childhood education and care services; advocating for the well-being, protection and development of children; documenting children’s learning; managing children’s enrolment applications; providing you with information about our company, services and activities via letter, email, observation and curriculum platform, Business WhatsApp messages, and other organisational communication channels, also requesting information about our service via surveys and feedback forms.  

Young Bucks Early Learning Centres have collected your information directly from you and if you wish to stop receiving communication from us simply send our Approved Provider and email or phone call and communication will stop immediately when you ask us to. We are a quality service so there is no need for us to continually send marking bulk emails or communication that is not relevant to your family or that purpose only. Any concerns about any communication that has been sent to you, please email the business owner of our company on the details provided in this policy.

Employees who enrol to study with Young Bucks Early Learning Centre Pty Ltd, we will collect and hold personal information about you with respect to your study, including your name, address, contact details, previous study history and Unique Student Identifier number, qualifications achieved, work submitted by you for assessment and your assessment result details. We will only use your personal information for purposes related to your study with the Institute you are studying with and the Traineeship company and will use reasonable endeavours to keep that information secure and confidential.

If you have applied for a position at Young Bucks Early Learning Centres Pty Ltd, you will be asked to complete one of our Employee Application Forms before your official interview. We will collect and hold that personal information you provide us about you relevant to your application for employment, including your name and contact details, resume, employment history, academic records, working with children checks, training records, police checks, and comments made about you by your nominated references. We will use reasonable endeavours to keep such information confidential and if you do not commence employment within six months of applying for a position, we will destroy such records in relation to your application. If you were to apply for a future position after six months you will need to complete a full new application.

In some circumstances Young Bucks Early Learning Centres Pty Ltd may seek to collect personal information that is sensitive. This may include information such as your child’s racial or ethnic origin or any cultural or religious requirements or any child welfare information. Wea re also required by the Education and Care National Regulations to collect and hold details of your child’s medical conditions, immunisation history and additional needs. We collect his information as it is reasonably necessary for ensuring the well-being, protection, and development of children in our care.

We will only collect your sensitive information with your consent, or the direction of law enforcement officers including Department of Communities, Child Protection agencies, and will ensure that it is stored securely. Some other sensitive information could be supporting documentation regarding a family’s Additional Child Care Subsidy claim and this information is only for Young Bucks Early Years Learning Centre Pty Ltd management team and the Australian Government Services Australia to make your claim through our Child Care Management System.

We may disclose your personal information about you or your child to:

• Third party service providers, who assist us in operating our business (including credit reporting bodies, collection agencies, legal advisors, technology service providers). We will take reasonable steps to ensure these service providers do not breach the Australian Privacy Principals. These providers will all be based in Australia.
• A purchaser of the assets and operations of our business or a part of it, provided these assets and operations are purchased as a going concern.
• Child protection agencies, child health nurse or family support agencies when we reasonably believe that a child is at risk of significant harm
• Emergency services personnel in the case of an emergency
• Education Department if parent permission to share developmental anecdotal information is requested
    

Young Bucks Early Learning Centres Pty Ltd will not otherwise disclose personal information to a third party for any other purpose without your consent unless it is authorised or required by law.  

You may request access to your personal information in writing to the owner of the business Jodie Buck. Any other employee of our company will not be able to provide you with this information or access. If at any time you believe that Young Bucks Early Learning Centres Pty Ltd record of your personal information is incorrect, please alert us to this. We will take reasonable steps to correct the information so that it is accurate, complete, and up to date. In some circumstances which are prescribed by the Privacy Act, such as where to do so might put a person at risk of harm or even have an unreasonable impact on the privacy of others, our company may decline access to personal information. If you request to access is denied, the owner of the company will advise you the reason why.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of linked websites and any linked websites. Any personal information uploaded to us via our website is voluntarily submitted by the person using and uploading via our website.

Personal information collected by Young Bucks Early Learning Centres Pty Ltd will be stored securely in paper form or electronically at the service and the owner of the business, company office. We may store, process or back-up your personal information on computer servers, which may include professional their party service providers who assist us in operating our business. Only authorised employees of Young Bucks Early Learning Centre Pty Ltd will have access to your information and access will be structed in such a way as to ensure the use and disclosure as stated above. We will take reasonable steps to protect any personal information that we hold from unauthorised access, modification, misuse, loss and disclosure.
